Our services – for clients buying property privately in France

So now you have found your dream property in France this may be privately, via a Notaire or a French Immobilier. You may already be in the process of buying but you have no news or progress reports from the Immobilier (estate agent) or Notaire.

In the UK, Estate Agencies would describe my ongoing services to buyers as a Sales Co-ordinator’s job. I can talk you through each stage of your purchase, including the paperwork you will be required to produce, package the information for the Notaire in addition to discussing dates and any special clauses that need to be put into the Compromis de Vente. I will then liaise with the Notaire throughout your sale and give you clear, regular and reliable updates as to the progress.

I can also help to source a foreign currency specialist, building and contents insurance, mortgage providers, removal companies, etc. and transfer the utility accounts into your name. All advice is only a phone call or email away and in English (or any other language required working via Skype with translators/interpreters). I can advise on Notaire’s fees and the best thing is if you are buying privately you will not have up to 7% Agency fees to pay.

Once you have moved you may need information and advice on finding and enrolling children in school, finding an architect or project manager, the best telephone and internet provider package available at your new home, registering with the local authorities, vehicle registration, opening a bank account, registering for a Carte Vitale (health cover), finding a doctor, dentist or optician, working or starting your own business in France, bringing your pets to France and keeping animals in France (please click here for list of post purchase services and advice required). I can help or find a specialist to help you which could save you thousands of euros and a lot of time. It is often very difficult to find reliable, experienced and unbiased information especially in chat rooms and on forums and this leads to a lot of frustration particularly when you are adjusting to life in your adopted country.
