We moved to France in 2003 having always been enamoured by the beautiful scenery and the culture and have not been disappointed.

We bought our house from a French Agency but, as the previous owners were British, did the vast majority of the negotiations ourselves, dealt with the Notaire, moving dates, etc. I had a bit of a head start with this as I speak fluent French (although it wasn’t so fluent back then!) and worked as an Estate Agent and then Financial Adviser for a Bank in the UK but the buying and selling process in France is very different as many of you will already have found out.

Our aim for moving was to spend more time with our children, enjoy a better quality of life and integrate in our adopted country. What a pleasure!

After some time concentrating on renovations, buying animals and finding our way around I “fell” into a job with a local French owned Estate Agency (Trouverie Immobilier). The learning curve was steep and I thoroughly enjoyed most of my time with them but I began to see what I consider to be flaws in the buying and selling process with a traditional agency. After 5 years I decided therefore to launch my own marketing company helping buyers and sellers of French property. And this is where you join me …….
